london born artist antony gormley was awarded the turner prize in 1994 and the south bank prize for visual art in 1999. this summer, the southbank centre hayward gallery will be showing 'blind light' an exhibition of the artist's works along with newly commissioned installations. beginning may 17th the show will showcase gormley's continuous exploration of the human body as a departure point for sculpture. it will run until august 19th.
