researchers at the nippon institute of technology have teamed up with a slew of design and robotics companies to develop an educational humanoid robot they call e-nuvo. the design is a child-size bot that is based off a previous robot design from 2004 called the walk. the nuvo is a larger version of walk, allowing it to interact with students in more meaningful ways. the design intends to teach students bipedal robot technology and its connection to math and physics. the design s 126cm tall and only weighs 15 kg. it is battery powered and can stand and move its arms and legs. the robot has a ton of internal technology that allow it to communicate with users and walk around automatically or through remote control. it could be used as a teacher’s assistant and comes in handy for presentations since it has a built-in projector.
